I don't know how unpopular this is, but i disliked the papa Jones story. I felt like it was rushed and the writers put it together just to shut us up because they knew we wanted this since season 2. I get that the writers wanted to show us Killian killing his father just as Regina and Rumple did, but they went about it the wrong way. I can honestly sat i was disappointed in the story they gave us. It was great to see a younger Killian and the opening flashbacks were so great then we got the lame excuse of a sleeping curse.
They could have went in so many different directions with this story but they chose this. Oh and what are your thoughts on Liam 2 ? In canon Killian has a little brother. Will we ever see him again ?

A lot of the time I feel like the writers do a lot with Killian as a way to show us how much of a villain he was. But on his worst day as a villain his motives were different. He generally went after the people that hurt him and Papa Jones hurt him like no other. But I don't feel like Killian killing his father really fell in line with his character. Family is important to Killian. He became a villain after loosing his family over and over again. I get how seeing Brennan with Little Liam would have been devastating but being as he knew what it was like to grow up without his father, without anyone to care for him, I don't think he would have left that little boy an orphan and just gone on with his life. It just doesn't jive with who Killian is a character.
I too didn't love the sleeping curse and the true love's kiss with some random nurse because it doesn't make sense. It's when they started handing out the TLK's like candy and it just felt lazy. Like 'we need to find a way to justify him' and it was just ill advised for me.
I don't think we're going to see Liam 2 again. I think he was a plot point to get Killian angry enough to kill his father. The fact that they orphaned another child and put Killian in the position of cursing HIS SIBLING with the same fate that he endured I really don't think crossed their minds. I'm also not sure what they thought they were doing there by having the father name the child Liam. If they're wanting me to believe he was a good guy because he was so heartbroken over losing his kids that he just decided to start replacing them then they did it wrong.
